All of Garmin's Aviation products are manufactured in the US, simply because the FAA has to inspect the units and certify them.

Hello,
I purchased a bottle

Hello,
I purchased a bottle of Motrin on 12-2-08 and there wAs a problem with the tablets
When I opened the bottle to shake 2 tablets out nothing happened so I looked into the
container I discovered that they were all stuck together!!!!!!.
The bottle was sealed properly so I assume that some kind of moisture was in the bottle and dicarded the whole bottle. This is for your information and I would like to hear from you regarding
this serious matter. I hope no one in the company is tampering with your product. the date of expiriation is 04/11 and the lot # is 7843686 also on the lable SHA108.
Thank You,
A Concerned Consumer
DVD is as good as Blu-ray?

DVD is as good as Blu-ray? hah, that's quite a laugh. Wake up folks, this is how the DVD revolution started back then...so called 'over-priced equipment'. that's how things usually start off. BetaMax vs VHS; VHS vs DVD; now DVD vs Blu-ray. if you have a nice set up and you are all saying a DVD (up-convert) is as good as a Blu-ray? I guess you'll never know unless you replace that DVD player with a Blu-ray player. i mean if you compare your DVD player with a Blu-ray player, you'd better be talking about 1080p true HD status set-up with that same exact DVD player vs a Blu-ray player. after watching a blu-ray and putting in a dvd(upconverted) all i could say was...ew. cheer up, things are alrdy getting cheaper...relax, we ALL are inevitably gonna succomb to true HD 1080p Blu-rays. if you love movies...i mean LOVE movies...then Blu-ray's IT.

So the reporter doesn't know

So the reporter doesn't know that these units were used, yet decides to single out one manufacturer?

Why not name the manufacturer of the clothes the terrorists wore? Or their guns? Or the bullets? Or the transportation method they used? How about their phone manufacturer for the calls they might have made to coordinate the attack? Why one could use a map published by their government, walk it off in latitude and longitude, and attack that way?

If one is going to report the details, get them right. The pictured aviation GPS unit is manufactured in Taiwan. While the terrorists may very well use the aviation units, they could also obtain much cheaper consumer devices for the same accuracy level. Of course, this won't have the same dramatic and fear-mongering effect as something with an airplane on it.

Don't forget that Huff Post

Don't forget that Huff Post is not only celebrity bloggers, but featured everyday bloggers as well. I am one of them and the real value comes through the energy of a large community of Americans who care about the ideals that this country was founded upon. The internet takes the shackles away and Huff Post editors are devoted to the right of responsible free expression for everyone.

There is a growing dollar value to the site but it's true worth in this locked down media age is invaluable.

The ease of use with which

The ease of use with which Google Friend Connect is implimented on a website or a blog - THAT is what will make it powerful (once they give us APIs to combine the two userlists).

Plus the fact that it will connect various and sundry websites and follow the people around. Google, being the 800lb gorilla, but a good gorilla so far, has a very good shot at establishing a decent userbase for Google Friend Connect once they get a few more gadgets open.

But the basics are there now: Add a friend, post a comment, rate a page. A lot of blogging software and even a lot of websites and Content Management Systems do not offer exactly those three features. A lot of CMS's have poor or no membership systems. Google is smart for implementing those features often lacking on a a lot of websites.

Others have does similar things (MyBlogLog, some of the co-commenting attempts, all very admirable), but Google has the best shot at putting it together. will it make a dent in MySpace/Facebook/etc? It may, it may not - hard to say. But it will be a lot of fun just the same!

Kenneth Udut, founder of a Naples FL website, http://free.naplesplus.us which is Google Friend Connect enabled since December 1st 2008.

Insignificant detail, but my Garmin packaging says, "Designed in the U.S.A., made in Taiwan." If it was indeed manufactured in the U.S.A., that would have made more sense to me considering the prices of these things.

Facebook is usually ok with the changing of middle names, but it must be attached to your real name. so as long as your first and last name is yours, the middle name is okay to change. quit hating on facebook and Obama you fools. So much hate.

The EU is trying to make

The EU is trying to make money for itself by going after US countries.
Airbus is subsidised by France, and England but I don't see the EU making a case out of that.
It's time Americans learned to "buy American" .
I hope that, if Intel loses the case, ( and i think that they will due to the EU's Anti American prejudice)
Intel uses it's huge profitability and technical superiority to cut their prices so low that AMD cannot survive.

This was a great company to work for and way ahead of its time. As David says, it was a victim of the general state of the market when the bubble burst. The technology has not died, and a number of companies now claim to offer something similar. An interesting one to watch is Avail Intelligence of Sweden, who have probably the best product offering in this area and are financially stable.

I disagree with you in all

I disagree with you in all the perspectives. First of all, the blue ray movies don't need to have any warnings about film ware or any other software that you might need for your player in order to play succesfully to your expectations. All the warnings and sugestions that you might need in order to run ANY particular movie is going to appear in you blue ray player content. If you think about it you don't need any warnings from the movie itself, you need it from the device is playing such movie. I bought a samsung blue ray player and even before openig the box I took a look to the box and it explainned me about any upgrade that I might need for the future because of all the new movies coming out. It also suggested me to do and upgrade as soon as I pluged all my system before even starting to use it which I did and my system runs beautifully.
