Hulu has become the poster child for media streaming via the web. With a mere 6M unique viewers, it has managed to rake in earnings of $70M. This is significant relative to YouTube which has managed to generate $100M on 83M unique viewers. Despite YouTube late starts to increase revenue with new partnerships to stream movies (i.e. MGM deal), live streaming (i.e. partner with UStream) and ad-based video hosting, Hulu is on pace to generate earnings greater than that generated by YouTube.

PREDICTION: Hulu cumulative earnings in 2009 exceed that of YouTube. Judgment can be rendered at the earlier of such a report in 2009 or 2010. Betting will close no later than the end of 2009.
